Keynote on Artificial Intelligence and Deepfakes at LambaConf 2024

July 22nd, 2024

Recently, our colleagues Thomas Endres and Martin Förtsch attended the LambdaConf 2024, where they gave a keynote on the challenges and dangers of artificial intelligence, especially in the form of deepfakes.

In light of the elections in the US and UK this year, Thomas and Martin showed the capabilities of modern AI and how they can be misused to manipulate public opinion. Using a series of live demonstrations, the talk provided fascinating insights into the inner workings and the technical foundation of Large Language Models (LLMs) and real-time deepfakes, as well as their potential and weaknesses. Our colleagues also gave some practical tips to help you identify deepfakes and thus resist possible manipulation.
